Cultural Development

A student may earn the CESR Certificate by following the CulturalĀ Development track. PossibleĀ opportunitiesĀ for participation within this track include the opportunities below:

  • Volunteer in the community
  • Start your own not-for-profit
  • Participate in Inventor’s Guild, ARCOS, use Center of Gravity
  • Join the Poly / WRPI / etc.
  • Join Union Cultural Clubs, Players, UPAC
  • Attend cultural events at EMPAC, Genericon, downtown, local museums
  • Join and assist Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy Bike Rescue, Local not-for profit
  • Make your own video, art piece or exhibit advocating for a position or cause
  • Study abroad
  • Apply for scholarships such as the Goldwater, Fulbright, and Rhodes Scholarships
  • Compete in “Change the World Challenge”
  • Compete in “Letter to Elected Official” Competition
  • Compete in EMPAC Student Research and Residency Competition
  • Prepare and present a Capstone project
